Thor Peak 10-17-2009

Thor Peak; Saturday 10-17-2009; This years WPSMB annual hike took on a new meaning as we had a memorial service for the late Dr. Kent Ashcraft. Kent Ashcraft fell to his death earlier this year in one of the snow ridden culours of Thor Pk. Amazingly we had 33 people on the summit. Adding to this incredible feat was that snow from a storm earlier this week made for a class III snow climb. For some it was their first hike in snow. The memorial service at the summit is something I shall remember for the rest of my life.
