Liebre Twins(x2) - current and orignial 5-16-2009 : Saturday May 16,2009 was a KRVHC club hike to Liebre Twins on the Tejon Ranch. This was my second summit of this peak in less than a month. Also Rafael, Alice, Lisa and I also went to the summit of the original sight of the Liebre Twins - an added 4+ mile addition to the hike. We started at Lopez Flats for this hike.

Liebre Twins and Pk6803 4-26-2009 : Sunday I joined some members of the Sierra Club for a hike on the Tejon Ranch. We climbed the Liebre Twins and Pk6803(Old Tehachapi Mtn). The Sierra Club is looking into the possibility of renaming 6803 as Mt MacRuer. We also discovered a plane wreck just off the summit of the peak.

Pinnacle National Monument : Saturday January 17, 2009; Lisa. Alice, Karen and I drove to the Pinnacle National Monument Park for a day of hiking. We hiked to Bear Gulch Caves and Balcany Caves; and the High Peaks Trail in between. We attempted to summit Scout Peak but the exposure on the summit block stopped us from reaching the top. We were treated by a visit of the California Condors flying above in mid-afternoon.

Mt. San Antonio(Baldy) 04-05-2008 : Saturday April 5,2008; drove down into the belly of the beast to hike Baldy. M.C. and Alan K. put together this trip for some folks on the WPSMB as a group hike. It was a good chance for me to get to know some folks that I have seen posting in the last few years but had not met. Reasonable snow coverage in the bowl so I strapped on the crampons and went right up the center - good burn on the calves. Another good day on the mountain and a chance to get back up to 10,000 feet again.

Pinos - Sawmill - Grouse - Cerro Noroeste 6-9-2007 : MT Pinos, Sawmill, Grouse and Cerro Noroeste - in June 9, 2007 joined members of KRVHC for a 4 peak day in the Los Padres National Forest. most of us summited all 4 peaks. sunny skies with clear views made for a nice day on the mountain.

Almost Black : Met Moose Tracks and Lettie in Bishop for breakfast then drove up to the White Mountain entrnace station - winter snows prevented us from getting any closer so we started our hike here. Our goal was Black Mountain - but with the added miles and late start we did not summit. Still with the mixed sunshine and light snows; it was a perfect day to be hiking. Surprised to see smoke from a fire north of Bishop. Helped a group of guys unbury their Suburban from a snow bank.
